CCV calibration on secondary screen?

I’m running CCV on a Sony VAIO FW laptop for my MT table and connect the projector my laptop as a secondary monitor. When I enter calibration mode in CCV mode, however, it goes fullscreen on my laptop (primary display) instead of the secondary screen.

This happens even when I move the CCV program to the other screen and try to run calibration mode from that screen. Seems pretty ridiculous to have to mirror my display, especially considering that my projector resolution is 1024x768 and my laptop has an HD resolution of 1920x1080; mirroring would just not work well at all.

How do I connect my MT table display as a secondary monitor and have the calibration mode work? This would be a good feature for someone to work on this year in GSoC!

CCV 1.3 with HIDDrivers pointer problem / CCV 1.3 with other apps not problem

Salut,

Hi,

First of all thank you for all these sources of information!

I mounted my multitouch table on the basis of a Ramvik ikea (in beta testing, with lots of scotch and DIY: D lol).

My problem is that I can do the calibration under CCV 1.3Mod (cktouch.fr.nf), I installed HidDriver but when I try to calibrate touch in Windows 7 “Tablet PC Settings” the fingers are not detected correctly .... I am stuck with a huge mouse lag.

attached a video (sorry the quality, I filmed with the camcorder in hand ^ ^)

Thanking you in advance for your help!

ViBe - Heard of it?

Anyone heard of ViBe? It’s a powerful new processing algorithm for isolating movement and subtracting the background from video (patented, but by a University, so they are probably more willing to license) that I think may have great potential for MT!

I have nothing to do with it, but it caught my eye immediately.

Check it out:

What do you guys think?

Wacom Bamboo (Pen&)Touch speaks TUIO

Hi!
Some time ago i bought Wacom Bamboo Pen&Touch for graphics and win7 multitouch, but it does not support native win7 mt.
Today i have written Bamboo-TUIO, application to send TUIO messages using bamboo tablet. It works fine for me, i tested it using:
* Bamboo Fun Pen&Touch A6, pen driver v. 5.2.1-6, touch driver 3.1.1-6
* Windows Vista Home Premium x86
Tommorow i will test it under Win7 Pro x86

You can download binaries and source from http://code.google.com/p/bamboo-tuio/

I’m waiting for Your feedback, happy testing!

MT4J, how to interact?

I am really jest figuring out how to get my FTIR table to run apps. So far I have CCV figured out and got the Wndows 7 multitouch driver installed and now just finished getting MT4J working. I can run the apps but CCV doesn’t communicate with it. I was wondering if someone could clarify what we do exactly to interact with MT4J apps? There is mention of Windows MultiTouch API, is this what I need? and how is it different then the Win7 MT Driver?

Thanks for the advice. this stuff gets a little confusing sometimes

Gradient filter for CCV

Hi everybody!

I saw that there was a gradient filter for touchlib that could be used to “remove” hotspots in a DI setup http://eis.comp.lancs.ac.uk/~dominik/cms/index.php?pid=24 Is there anything alike for CCV?
I would like to try it out, I think it could help me alot!

Thanks

Hi everyone,

I experienced some problems with tracking my blobs. The blobs are excellent to see but when I drag they stay for some time. Just see the video´s.

My setup is as follow from top to bodem±

Rosco grey
silicon elastosil m4641
12mm acrylic. The sides are being treated with `command cleaner 3`car sanding polsih wax.

Between the Rosco and silicon there are some tiny `air bubble`can that be the problem.

All help is welcome.
