Thoughts about multi touch Wall

Hey all! Thanx for a great forum! I have some questions regarding vertical solutions. Have been reading and searching the threads about rear di as a multi touch Wall solution, do you have to have à closed Box for this technology? I was helping installing à rear di solution in à shopping window and it worked fine. Im not sure what solution i should start with? Llp, rear di or ftir?

Hello from Jena (Germany)

Hi,

I’m Stefan, a CS student at the University of Jena.
I stumbled across this forum while looking for ideas for my student research project. It revolves around “CUTA” (Collaborative User’s Task Analysis), a workflow analysis technique which is “played” much like a card game. This encourages customers to actively participate in the requirements analysis instead of just sitting there and answering questions. The ultimate goal is to improve software quality by making the customer and developer speak the same easily understandable language.
My tutor Ivonne asked me to find a way to play this “game” on an interactive surface. One of the necessary steps is to build a MT device that is portable enough so you can take it to the costumer, but at the same time has a screen size of about 100x75cm. And that may just be as difficult as it sounds
But the hardware will just be a byproduct of my work. The real challenge will be finding a way of combining a framework for model driven development (most probably Eclipse Modeling Framework) with a natural user interface. Finding a fitting architecture for these requirements will be my goal by the end of the upcoming semester.
This forum has already helped me a lot in getting the basics of multitouch technologies and I will of course keep you updated on my work and surely ask loads of questions in the process

Hola,

Saludos desde venezuela, estoy interesado en comprender un poco más los avances en tecnología táctil.

Greetings from venezuela, I’m interested in gaining knowledge about touch and multitouch technology.

See you all.

PQLabs and TUIO

Hi everybody!
I confirm I’m not a spam with this new thread…

I’m trying to develop an app using flex 4 and a PQTable G2, but only trying because:
1. The SDK on their web site doesn’t like flex 4 (spark...)
2. And it seems to have changed since we purchase the table: now, some methods have the “G3” prefix… and it doesn’t run correctly anymore…

And during my research, I saw that some people get a “Tuio bridge” from the vendor…
But I did not find it anywhere: Driver & Utilities CD, TUIO web site, PQLabs one…

So here is my question: Where can I find it?!?!

Of course, if someone has an idea to work directly with Flex 4 and the PQTable...!!!

Thank you for your answer!!
