Since the TUIO_TYPE is named as “2Dcur” right now, i guess there’s a plan to handle 3D environment with engine like papervision?
I’ve been experimenting papervision 2.0 beta with touchevent, dunno if someone is already doing it b=

Actually no, the 2Dcur is because we’re working on a 2d surface. TUIO protocol allows for different surfaces. If working on a 3d physical space then it wouldn’t be 2Dcur anymore. So the TUIO stuff is independent of what you’re actually working in. Since we’re not working in a 3D physical space there’s no universal way to work in a 3D application that I know of.

Of cos i’m not talking about handling 3D environment like the Iron Man movie.
I’m working on making camera movement in papervision3d work with touch base input

Yeah, 3D work is possible. I wasn’t really clear before, all I meant was that the “2Dcur” has nothing to do with the application side of things, only the input side. Since we’re working a 2d environment (flat surface) we are using 2dcur. If we were working in 3D space (not multitouch screen) then it wouldn’t be 2Dcur. The 2Dcur and others is independent of application.
