Thanks jimihertz!
Yeah this has been a process. Finding time to work on this, and money. I ran a test last night and found that my LEDs work and I will have to use about half of what I planed. I have 100 940nm IR LEDs. Now I have to get a better cam and I going w/ the Fire i board cam. Right now my DI BOX is 2 feet tall and I want to place the cam on the bottom. would you go w/ a wide angle lens or 4.3mm ? I read somewhere that it may cause distortion w/ the image. I still may have to make this BOX taller maybe 3 1/2 feet. To make up for my Dell 3400MP projector. I have a screen size of 36 inches across. I went to that website w/ the projector cal. It said that i need 6.6 feet to get that size. So even if I need 3 1/2 feet will a wide angel lens be needed? the cam I’m using now needs about 5 feet. Should I aim it at the mirror like the projector?
Any help would be awesome.

Ok my DI set up is almost done. I just ordered a fire i web cam. So that should be here soon. That was the last piece that I need to finish this project. Also I have made a few changes to my set up. Mainly the hight. Now it fills up the screen. So over all I real happy about it. Maybe next week I will have some new photos up. I can’t wait to start programing some apps that I have been dreaming up.
Stay Tuned!!!

I should have more videos and pictures up on my blog by the end of this month. My DI set up has really came a long way from these pictures. First of all it’s not a coffee table anymore. You’ll see what I mean when I get the new pics and videos up.

I see you started a tutorial on building your DI setup on your blog, but I don’t see any pages past the parts list. Will this be updated?

I just got you PM’s
I can see you are anxious to get started building. I have been super busy with my business, and a multi touch program I’m writing. That I have put off my whole blog in general. I really need to update a few things including my how to guide. As soon as I get some thing up I’ll send you a PM.

No problem. I just really in the planning stages right now and I will so go out and purchase some of the equipment I need. I am quite curious on box designs and which IR illuminators to get.

I’m using my own IR illuminators that I made.
I have 80 940 nm IR LEDs in strips of 20 on all 4 sides facing up at my screen. If anything I might need more IR LEDs for daylight hours.
