i’m planning on building a big FTIR table (120 X 160 cm) . just wandering if you know any type of camera that has lenses that will capture all the surface from about 1 m.
i’m not keen on using a mirror.

any OEM board cam with a 1.2 mm fisheye lens should do the trick .. look up unibrains / pointgreys ... and similar stuff

you’ll have to mod the touchlib to increase the no of points on the calibration grid tho… due to the extreme barrel distortion… but if you use something like 16 X 12 grid for calibration.. it shud work just fine....

Here’s a barrel distortion correction tool from Multigesture.net. It works with TouchLib.
I haven’t tried it, but I remembered I had seen it.

i’m using the above mentioned camera.
it keeps asking for some .dll files

i got them, and then still i get a strange error :

The procedure entry point ?HesFeature@C1394Camera@@QAE_NW4CAMERA_FEATURE@@@Z could not be located in the dynamic link library 1394.dll

any ideas?

where would I be able to change the grid in touchlib?

i tried changing the config.xml file from touchlib

in the section where those 20 points are defined I change the grid to what you said 16 * 12 but it will not work
touchlib will not start with that file, just gets the windows error (configapp.exe encountered an error and will shout down) and that’s it

any idea ?
