i tried using polarising filters and i dont think it’s worthwhile.... polarizing filters cut out 50% of the incoming light so the projector loses half its brightness and the camera loses half its sensitivity, so while it eliminated glare and greatly reduced the hotspot (still a small speck is visible), in the end i thought it was not worth it.....

what size is everyone’s hotspot? the spot on my screen is about the size of a fingerprint, so there is only one point where the tracking is sketchy......

if you project a black color over the hotspot (i place the osc console) and capture it as your background, it helps quite a bit because theoretically the projector isnt really projecting a color, and the tracking works better

in reply to Gravano : Yes, but parallax can be reduced by taking a less thick panel.
