To power my 48 IR LEDs the wizard says I need a 12v DC source with 600mA. If I use a wall wart that says 12vDC 1Amp on the back will it blow my LEDs or will they only draw the power they need? Any suggestions on power are welcome.

They only draw the power they need. You’ll be fine. The 1A just means it’ll allow up to that amount. Anything higher than 600mA (which is what you need) is good.
