Hello All…

I’m really aiming to release Lux Beta to NUI Group before end of June… I have just had to relocate to California from Texas so I am trying to get set back up ASAP.

Thanks for your patiences and I look forward to releasing so everyone can help develop further.

Nice!  Thanks for working so hard on this for us!  Texas to California, huh?  Sounds like quite an improvement to me.

Quick question.... Flash MT demos such as ripples, paint, and physics run really slow on my laptop.  Smoke and the puzzle games are about the only demos that run decently on my setup right now.  Will that basically mean that LUX will run about as slow as other flash demos?  Or is it faster than these demos I’ve been trying?

Currently I’m running XP on a gateway pentium 4 laptop with a gig of ram

But I think I might test out this eMachine Vista basic desktop (3.45ghz Celeron D with 512mb memory) lol

after testing the MiniMT build of touchlib on my vista celeron machine, I am very surprised to say that I can now run some of the more visual flash apps at a near respectable rate!

I second the question about donations!  My table is very near to the prototype stage where I’ll be testing everything out before the finalized shell.  It would be awesome to not have to boot into Windows so I can test out touchlib.  Hopefully Lux is coming soon?

Oh man, if I can get this running on a Mac Ill wet myself.  I just ordered a book and am learning Cocoa and all the stuff that comes with it (very slowly I’ll add) and I’m excited about what could be done with Core Animation etc.  Multi-touch Mac goodness, let it happen soon!

I was reading some stuff on Ajaxian about a new framework from Apple that would make use of Cocoa, and Cocoa-Touch and a whole bunch of other stuff. It might not be related but I’m not sure, it could allow some web based multi touch apps for the few people that are currently set up with a multi touch system.
