Hello.  Right now I’m working mainly in Bootcamp when wanting to test apps, and back to OSX when I want to build them.  This is a pain.

Is there a simple and effective way of running any of these trackers in OSX and coding in AS3 for them?  I’ve looked at Reactivision, which I like but I can’t seem to get Flosc running properly with it in OSX.  Lux should be great, but I don’t know when that is going to be.  Basically, what I’m after is an OSX tracking solution that runs with AS3.

Any help would be great, I’m tired and in need of happy things. smile

Have you tried opentouch? Or the reactivision TUIO simulator? That should be good enough for testing your apps in OSX.

Ta.  I have tired, but it can’t connect to anything.  It seems Flosc refuses to run, which I believe is down to a config error buried within Leopard.  JAVA was updated recently and it’s caused issues with some machines.  It was patchy at the best of times. I guess I’ll run in Vista until Lux arrives.

Ok, but lux won’t fix you’re FLOSC issues. You’ll still need FLOSC if running the flash parts.

Also make sure you use the older version of FLOSC

I have attached it below and know it works on Leopard.

Then open it through command line:

java -jar flocs.jar 3333 3000

Awesome, I’ve been hunting for that.  Do you know of any example files with code in AS3?  For example, fid Number 1 appears, run this function…

Well; it does not work better.

1 If I use directly the .fla in source, once exported in .swf of crse, do I ever need to launch the gateway ?

2 what the port on .fla corresponds to ?
