Hi ppl…
I am new to multitouch so would request help from all you guys… I was really facinated by the concept so decided to make one myself… I am trying a DI setup… I could see some blobs but with looooots of efforts…
anyways, the config went ok, osc application runs a touch listener that appears something like this image, n even the mouse driver application works ok…
but I am not able to run smoke demo or any other flash application.... :(
Can you please help me out…
n also, I am not sure wether touch listener app should run as it is shown in the image (gray window with cmd tracking blobs) or should there be something else instead of that gray window??

waiting eagerly for some replys…
thanx in advance…
Arpit

you don’t need to run OSC.exe when you run the C++ demo apps, simply open the demo exe’s and they should work off the bat. You only need OSC.exe when you’re running the flash demos

Hmmm, the only thing I can suggest is recapturing the background when you run the smoke app. If that doesn’t work I’m not sure what could be wrong. As for OSC it IS running as normal. We all have the blank grey tracking window.

well most likely what i think is happening is you have to much ambient light in your room… and even when you do background subtraction there is still not even distribution of or IR beneath the screen. for DI it is a must that you have the entire box made sine you need to diffuse the IR beneath the screen. also make sure in the config app, you press “ b” when you are at the sliders and then adjust the sliders so that in the rectify window you only see your blobs. further more when you have achieved this press “enter” to get in to the calibration window. and note when you touch the screen you get stable blobs and not blobs that are flickering or anything like that, to check is your blobs are stable, a coloured square will appear around the blob detected, and if its stable it will be of an constant size and in a fixed position and will have no rotation.
