Hello all,

I recieved the Aixiz lasers (and line lenses) in the mail just now. I’ve seen some other people who already recieved them, but as far as I know no results have been posted yet on how good these are. I ordered the 5mW since my screen is small, and I didn’t want to use lasers more harmful to the eyes than necessairy, but they sent me the 10mW’s anyways. Problem is, I don’t know what the source voltage is that these things need, and I’m not sure how to figure it out based on the information I can get on the website. I think it should take around 3v or 3.5v, but I’m not 100% sure.

Can anyone help me out? Once I figure this out I’ll run some tests and post them on here ASAP.

I got my 10mW a few days ago as well.  It says on the bag that they are 3.2v devices.  Can’t wait to see your results, Ill be posting mine tomorrow.

About four or five days. I live in the Netherlands, so that’s actually very decent shipping time.

I’m very curious to read about your results. I’ve bought my 10 mW lasers from Alex P. A ‘bit’ more expensive but hopefully they work fine. I’ve ordered some laser protection glasses on Ebay. I’ll start playing as soon as I have them.

Wat would be the maximum screensize you can use with 10 mW?

I’m sure you’ll get them in soon, there have been no reports of people not getting them so far. For the status on my table you can visit my blog, I’m keeping a detailed log with video’s and images. The URL is in my signature. Thanks and good luck with your project!

I really don’t know what the maximum screensize would be, I’m by no means an expert on lasers. This will be my first experiment as far as IR lasers go; the only test I’ve done so far was with 1 visible laser, so that doesn’t count for much. I’m guessing that the 10mW should be able to support a fairly big screen, of course also depending on how many you’re using.

I’m also very curious about the results you’ll get, but I’m sure they will be great as you got your lasers from AlexP which are known to work just fine. smile

Also, would you be so kind to send me a link to the protection glasses you ordered? I have a pair, but I’m not 100% sure on what wavelength they filter out, so I’d rather get a new pair just to be safe.

I got my laser modules today, I also ordered 5MW but appear to have received 10MW. Worse though, my line lenses have not been included :-( Can’t really do any tests until I get those. Please let me know what you find!
