Has anyone, by any chance, has experience with a BENQ MP620C projector?

I just wonder, cause it’s specs sound nice.

Actually i am looking for a projector that will work for ambient daylight situations.

If anyone has any hints, whatever other products, that would be great. Already searched the forums, but still confused
for what projector to go (should not be more than 800$ / 500€).

chris.in.touch for daylight situations you’d want a projector which has at least 1800 lumen s if i were you’d go with a 2000+ lumen s projector..

I’ve used that Benq projector and can say that it is not so perfect in daylight situations. My projection still visible but too “weak” Anyway that could be bad projection surface tho.

So if i would go with a 2000+ lumens, i may run into problems with a hotspot on the screen, right?

It’s only SVGA but much brighter (2600 lumens). Quite low price too.

chris.in.touch: Actually projector doesn’t produce any IR hotspots. Or what you mean?

Besides the ir hotspot, i thought there is a brightness hotspot when the projector gets to close to the projection surface, or is “too” bright. Not sure about this.
I thought i read about that somewhere.
But maybe i just mixed that up with the ir hotspot issue.

i think i really just mixed up the hotspot topic.

Actually i look for a projector that has at least XGA at 4:3 (or 16:9 compatible) and will work with a table at around 70cm (27.5 inches) height and a screen witdh around 65cm (25.5).

The lumens should work good for daylight or at least at high ambient light in a room, not in sunlight, though

I don’t mind using a mirror, so i won’t need a wideangle lens or something, i just want to put it all into the table.

It should not cost more than around 500-600 € (790$ - 950$).

I hope someone made this already.

i just want to make sure i don’t buy something that’s no use for the MT.

for the calculator, but it gives me just expensive ones.

And i am not quite sure how to calculate the throw distance using a mirror (projector->mirror->projected image size) . Any hints on that would be great.

By the way: When using a projector with a standatd lens, can i make sure (when using a mirror) the image gets sharp?
