Hello all,
I’ve finally finished my blob tracking software in java, but I’m having a bit of a hardware problem. My camera, converted to an IR camera, works fine with the table for about 2 seconds. Then, when the auto-exposure from the camera kicks in, I lose almost all brightness in the blobs and they become untrackable. This question may seem trivial, but
how do you turn auto-exposure off for a camera (microsoft lifecam 1000) on windows XP?
Thanks!

Hello, I don’t have the same camera as you (Phillips SPC900nc) but you should have received some sort of software with your cam that lets you adjust the settings yourself. It’s for people that use their webcams for things like taking pictures and video chatting! What a bunch of weirdos!
Check the installation disk or look on the manufacturer website if you don’t already have it installed. You should be able to turn off auto exposure, as well as increase shutter speed, fps etc
Hope this helps.
