Just curious what safety goggles you guys are using for these 780nm lasers.

I have goggles that do 800-900, the 700 range seem hard to come by cheaply.

Anyone have any recommendations for inexpensive goggles in this range?

I placed an order with aixiz 2 weeks ago for 3 line lenses and 2 power adaptors, and only the 3 line lenses came. And when I tried contacting them about the missing adaptors, they said “maybe they’re on back-order. I’ll check and get back to you”. and they didn’t. and the same type of response to the email i got 2 days ago, except that was just “I’ll research it”, to which there has been no follow-up.

So I got creative, and am very pleased to say the local Radioshack had an easy solution. They offer an adjustable power adaptor with an output of 1.5-12VDC @ 300 mA. got mine for $25 after tax, and I can wire my lasers however I want, without adding many other components to the circuit.

I have also experienced less than perfect customer service from Aixis. First if all my order went missing, so although I had paid, I had no confirmation or delivery info. When I contacted aixis they told me something along the lines that my order went into the ‘what did he order pile’ (?). I suppose these things happen, but then when my order arrived I didnt have the line lenses. Apparently they have been resent but I’m still waiting…

Maybe someone at aixis has spent too long looking at their product without proper safety equipment grin
