hey all
I’m having no fun trying to hook up my camera to jens patch as in the tutorial posted online.
I’ve changed the settings for my webcam
I’m using a logitech quickcam and think I’ve set all the settings correctly
320 x 240 - 15fps etc etc
Has anyone had any luck in getting it to work?

can you get the camera to work if you just connect the camera node to the output node?

one possible issue may be with your graphics card.  the ‘Background Suppression’ effect used in jens patch requires that your videocard be capabale of pixelshader 2.0

older cards that do not support pixelshader 2.0 will not be able to process the effect properly

At the moment I cant get the camera to work ifI just connect it to the output node(maybe I’m doing something wrong)
my graphics card supports pixel shader 2.0 so that’s ok
My camera works fine with other patches and I am able to see it in the renderer

Have you downloaded the background supression addon for VVVV?

But that shouldnt effect connecting the video in straight to the video out

yes I have indeed.
I got the patch to work by connecting video texture to a quad node and then to the renderer
I can see blobs!
thanks for the help
