This is Version 0.1 of TUIOmouse that I showed recently at: Link

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

For instructions on how to use, please read the readme.txt in the zipped file.

**TUIOmouse works with both Touchlib and Tbeta.** Or for that matter, any application that sends out TUIO messages.

For use with Tbeta, just launch Tbeta and make sure it is sending TUIO.
For use with Touchlib, just launch OSC.exe

Please send any feedback and suggestions that you might have and post on this thread.

Credit goes to:
risenparadigm (Code adapted from multimouse v0.2)
cerupcat (For helping me test and debug the application)
Thanks guys!

Great work tho Progren its funny I started a very similar project the other day… something that parses TUIO into TCP XML (for flash) ... if we can get that then we can do next step which is have tbeta talking directly to flash via a TCP binary data stream.

TUIOmouse should have an option to pick the ip and port you want to listen for… also why is the mouse so sad?

As for the Mac support it should be rather simple cause it is OF.

Thanks for the feedback so far.  Will hope to hear more feedback on the app usage and let me know if there’s any bugs.

As for a cross-platform version, hopefully i will begin working on the mac version next week.  I have never touched a mac in my life and thus I guess i will need help.  Any example codes on how to send inputs to the mac would be helpful!

@nuiman: Yep, I was thinking of doing the same thing too.....parse TUIO directly to Flash.  If you have started on it, I would like to help.  PM me if you need any help as well.  As to the reason of the sad looking mouse, well, its coz this driver kills the need for a mouse....heh…

I would love the ability to have generic mouse usage… like moving the mouse and double click. no fancy stuff. Tbeta is so buttery good on my set up that this is a huge request of mine.

not buggy at all on my set up btw. using both tbeta version (I tried before and after I upgraded today).

Works Great!  No bugs so far.
Is there a way to change the way the scrolling works?  Such as making it so that instead of one moving their hands down to move the page down they can sort of grab the page and move it up kind of like kinetic scrolling in the iPhone or Touchflo?

PS. Is their a way to add kinetic scrolling in windows like has been done on windows mobile (http://www.ftouchsl.com)?

love it!

just in time to try with my table which is coming together now

OK one thing… could you enable a simple “tap = left click” mode?
Basically this is how most touch devices do it (including things like Origami, Tablet PC, etc).

keep up the good work!

Hey Progen, thank you so much for this mouse driver.

I’m stuck at activating the .exe file, it closes everytime i try to run it. I extracted the file into its own folder. Where did I miss out?
Thanks

@aidil:  Is there any error that pops up when you run it?  Which OS are you on?

i agree… i would love the most basic of touch capability.

Yes… I had to find a good example where the left click = 2 fingers thing would not be good…
I love this… but MAN ... try to play this game below, or any game that relies heavily on single (left) click, click->drag (left), etc…

this wonderful app is begging for a “simple tap-drag” mode!!! smile

pleasssssssssssssseeeeeeeeee

See for yourself (try with a regular mouse first to feel how you are supposed to play):

THANKS! looking forward to somehow getting simple tap=click and drags .................
