Hi,

does somebody know if i put arround 10 RGB-LEDs (Blue LEDs:470nm,Green:528nm Red LEDs:621nm) inside a FTIR (IR-LEDs: Osram/850nm) table-setup (means: behind the Surface, where the camera is also located and pointing towards the surface) bother the blob tracking?
Since i am using also a ir-filter, which suposed to only bypass 850nm, it should be pretty save, put i made the experience that red-leds are usually recognized similar to IR.

Does someone have experience with that?

Cheers!

If you are using an 850nm Band pass filter then theoretically only the 850nm wavelength should go through although different filters have different tolerances i think it is usually as little as +-3nm maybe less.  Check the info from were ever you sourced the BP filter normally this things a precision made and have all the relevant documentation.

Id say that with a 850nm BPF fitted to the cam it will not pick up the Red led.

Sounds cool though having a kind of “ambilight” effect going on in there!
