Hi.

I’ve found a very cheap supplier of LED’s on EBAY. (100 for £15!!)
The specs seem very good to my ‘untrained’ eye (better than the SFH485’s?).
I was wondering if a ‘trained’ eye might say different.
I’m currently working on my first attempt at a multitouch, and could do with some advice from anyone who (unlike me) actually knows what they’re talking about!

here are the specs:

DESCRIPTION

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

RADIANT INTENSITY 70mW/Sr If=20m/a

RADIANT INTENSITY 140mW/Sr If=100m/a

FORWARD VOLTAGE 1.4—1.6v

REVERSE CURRENT 10u/a

DOMI WAVELENGTH 850nm

HOUSING WATER CLEAR

VIEWING ANGLE 25 degrees

The link is below:

Any good?

Thanks

Kim

should work fine ...just make sure u run them at a forward voltage of 1.6 to pass 100mA current to get 140mW/sr radiant intensity.... here’s a link.. might help you to figure out the circuits…
