As for selecting a good LCD screen; there is a searchable database of monitors that people successfully used for DIY projectors.

Too bad that it doesn’t contain any bigger LCD:s like Dell’s Apple’s or HP’s 30” screens. I would really like to know it there is this FCC issue with these displays…
I’ve been searching all over the internet of some pictures of disassembled big size LCD:s but haven’t found any.
