Ok, so finally got XP up and running on my new copy of Leopard. It’s using a bootcamp partition, and so far, all seemed to be working well (downloaded a few PC game demos, which run quite nicely on my Quad Core). So, it came time to migrate all my Touchlib settings from my gf’s PC laptop to my tower. I was able to jump right in and use the Config app, getting video without a problem. Once I was satisfied with the configuration, I exited config and ran Server, and then Vision, as I normally would on the laptop. Vision launched fine, but the server app launched and then quit just as fast. Not even an annoying error message, just nadda. POOF!
I went back to the download page for Touchlib… only other requirements were that it has Flash 9 - check… and Visual Studio 2005 SP1 x86 redistributable package. I’m 99% sure I have that installed. I went to Add/Remove programs, and I see something that says essentially the same thing. FYI, I’ve run ALL the updates, as well as the Windows Update app, which in theory downloaded all the latest. There is nothing particularly unique about my gf’s laptop, in fact, I was running my multitouch apps in another user account she setup, so it had the barebones configuration that XP would give you.
Don’t know what else i could be missing, but that’s all I knew to check.
I’m a NON windows person.... so I wouldn’t have a clue where to start.
Can anyone assist? Thanks!
