yes but this is for FTIR, i am using LED-LLP, the angle is too wide with the strips from Enviromental Lights.  The LEDS I need for LED-LLP need to be 15-30 degrees

Does this wiring apply to laser modules as well, or is it just for normal LEDs?

LOL. I thought I had it on the first page… then I lost it… rasberry
So erm… if I want to do a 60-80 LED setup… I should follow ALJ’s advice on post #22?

ie. make sets of 7 LED strips with a resistor thrown in? (Assuming I’m using the EXACT same setup of 12V, 1.5V LEDs)
[Is there a limit of 7 LED strips that I can support with a 12V power supply?]

what “power” should this resistor be?
I followed the link for resistor calculator provided here and it says:
Recommended Resistor: 27 ohm 8 watt
Actual Values: 25 ohm 4.41 watt

Based on the above, what should I say to the shop owner at my local electronic shop to get the right resistor?  rasberry
[I just got “talked-down” by the shop owner earlier today because I couldn’t describe what I what… *goes to sulk in corner*]

Thanks for taking the time to compile these helpful info. I’m starting to see the silver lining.  rasberry

here is my question however.... When we are using an LCD that we took apart and are using for our touch screen is there anyway we can wire the LEDs right into the power of the LCD screen? if so how do i find where to wire them in as well as what will the effect on the screen be? Thanks for everything guys!
