Anybody else having issues trying to open the mac binary on 10.5?

Anyone? I did recompile a version Christian posted in an announcement, and it works just fine, however, it was put up earlier than the version on the SVN which had a bunch of compile issues.

@Christian M. - Do you know if there are any differences in the OS X source that you posted here vs. the source thats on the SVN?

Thanks

Hi,

I just got my PS3 camera, so I’m checking it out with CCV 1.4 I get 60 fps at 640x480, until I turn on fiducials. Then it drops to 37. I dont have this problem with either finger or object tracking.
Is the fiducial tracking feature usually so demanding on CPU usage?

Regards, Steffan

had quite a confusion trying to get the new version for linux. the download section at http://ccv.nuigroup.com/ still points to version 1.2. this link really should be upgraded. the compiled version is available from http://nuicode.com/projects/ccv/files

Also everyone - I have uploaded the Linux binary version too - http://nuicode.com/projects/ccv/files , People who are interested check this out smile ! We will be working on uploading the MAC osx version too smile !

Thanks a ton bro !!! I’ve tried and tested the Linux binary with my cheap interactive whiteboard. It is really better than the 1.2.2 unofficial version. I never found CCV 1.3 for Linux and then suddenly 1.4 comes up Thanks to you. Awesome Work dude.

I’ve working on Ubuntu 10.4lts netbook-remix the CCV 1.2 based on instrucions found at: http://mt-dev.blogspot.com/2010/08/compiling-ccv-on-ubuntu-1004.html
Now im looking to switch to CCV 1.4 and try installing the binary ccv-1.4-lin-32-bin.tar.gz, it seems to work with the integrated camera but im unable to attach to the ps3eye usb camera as i do with the CCV 1.2 version.
Any suggestions? many thanks for the help

i understand that the tracking algorithm for fiducuials isn’t as sophisticated as the one used with reactivision. but really, shouldn’t there be some recognition of markers among these screenshots!?

@Tom_Bombadil1988: Are the fid’s your using from the standard library?  Make sure you have the trees files in the data directory.

I’m running CCV 1.4 to try and capture finger and fiducials. The fingers are working fine but when I trace the x and y coordinates of fidicuals they are huge. I’ve noticed that tracing the x,y of the onAdd event always does 100x the stage width and stage height. And then any subsequent onMove event traces x,y several thousands high. Anyone know what could be causing this?

Thanks,
Ian

Great work on this release. I just have a quick question, I’m trying to rotate the video stream from each PS3 camera by 90 degrees. Can anyone help me with this? Any advice would be much appreciated!
