well that was with flash. I wonder if the drivers you installed are effecting things now. iChat doesn’t work for me either. Do you know what 1394 driver reativision is using? As I have seen you have been chatting with the libavg guys and their driver is broken in leopard. But since you tested with tiger as well thats really weird. You should do a camera test in flash just to make sure things are working with the default driver in 0sx

Yeah but I tried libavg with the unibrain, which really works out of the box on osx.
Gonna try it with flash, although I don´t have the cam at home, its at my university…
Thanks for your help, will keep you updated..

How do you find libavg? Better for DI setups?

I talked to coder and he said that leopard doesn’t work right now because of the camera driver and he doesn’t know when it will be working. He suggested using Tiger as he knows it works with that.

The driver is included. Apparently Leopard breaks the included driver and its not coders so he will post a new version once that is sorted out. But yeah he says 0.7 works perfectly with tiger.

Hi all,

Under Win XP, which driver do you use? The one that is included in the SDK or the one that is the PGR Flystream?
Touchlib says he can’t connect to the video device.
I installed the Flystream driver and the hotfix.

Thanks
Greg

A little off topic but I have a Tamron 13FM22IR on order. It’s a 2.2mm CS mount lens, perfect for the firefly, that has a special coating to help focus IR light. Also I have been in contact with Barry at Midwest Optical Systems (http://www.machinevisionfilters.com/). He has been very helpful and can custom cut IR bandpass filters for the firefly.

What do you mean by normal install. When you put the CD in you have to choose between the SDK and flystream install. (or you can have both)
Or you only used the driver from the cd and didn’t go through the installer?

Argh, I just can’t get it to work!!
I reinstalled the default SDK and installed the hotfix, but it still says connection to video device failed.
