just have a one questions about this filter.

Does this work with a friefly setup using the ptgrey driver (vwcapture pgr: 0 640 .....) ?
I just ask because diebassie and brettf both use fireflys and i do not use the cmu driver..
Do you have to use the cmu driver for the distortion app, and afterwards switch drivers for the firefly?

Just want to make sure before I try this…

Yea if the ptgrey supports cmu, you could temporary use the cmu driver on your cam. Then start the barreldistortion tool to get the cameralens distortion values (camera.yml). After that you can return to the original drivers and run the touchlib config to do the real configuration.

I am using Fire-I camera....
I tried to do the way that you mentioned. however after i run the distortion tool, and get the camera.yml then switch back to the old unibrain dirver. I tried to run the touchlib configuration right after and the image is still distorted.

hi guys, the barrel distortion correction tool not working workinmg for me.

i’m using the a firewire unibrain camera.
it keeps asking for some .dll files

i got them, and then still i get a strange error :

The procedure entry point ?HesFeature@C1394Camera@@QAE_NW4CAMERA_FEATURE@@@Z could not be located in the dynamic link library 1394.dll

I installed the CMU driver and not getting that error anymore but when selecting ‘2’ in the window that shows up, that is for Firewire cam the window just closes.
If i use a USB camera it works, another window pops up with the image from the USB camera

how come the firewire wont work ?

Can someone help me out here please! I’m trying to use the touchlib_barreldistortion tool but when I run the .bat file, I’m getting an error which says cv100.dll is not found.  Does anyone know how to get around this error?  Thanks!

@Falcon4ever: it seems that the source code on your site is older then exe is compiled. could you please provide the same version of source code as exe?

i just integrated DSVL support in the correction tool, if anyone is interested. it seems a bit slow right now and maybe needs some tweaking, but does it’s job already.

here is the recompiled barreldistortion correction tool with DSVL support. it’s just a quick fix i made because of my camera.

Yea the barreldistortion correction is pretty slow. In our current setup (fireflymv) I don’t use the barreldistortion correction filter but doubled the calibration grid. This works pretty well and it works a lot faster.
