I am in the process of building a DI wall. During my research I could see that the IR illuminators were the key to the whole DI setup. Also durning my research I couldn’t find IR illuminators that were even across the whole beam. I considered ordering from http://rayled.com/ but they were jerks, there shipping is super pricey and they only take wire transfer. Luckily I found a local company that makes IR illuminators; big, even illuminators. I managed to get in on their demo program to test out the lights. I can’t wait to test their claim of 100% even illumination across the whole beam. I will post more when i wire them up. Here is the link to the large light: superLED. Here is a photo:

Looks nice, but how much will it cost? If it does his job well, this is great news for makers of BIG screens.

This is their biggest and most expensive unit. It has a 135 degree beam that is rated to 300m. Its nice also because the power supply has a light meter on it that can turn the IR off when its sunny out, allowing for cool stuff like night and day operation of a wall. Now having said that to answer your question its $6000CND.
