Hi all MT lovers,

so making my MT RI setups, i always find the same problem: my acrylic is reflecting some visible light back to the bottom where the cam and mirror are. And that is making a LOOOOT of problems.
So having an anti-glare product or surface on the bottom of the acrylic would solve that issue. (i need the difussor on top to recognize fiducials).

Any ideas? ???

thank you !!!

I just received my shipment of non-glare acrylic today (I’ll be opening tomorrow).  I’ll let you know what I find.

The stuff is designed for museum and gallery exhibiting.

so, finally got a chance to test the Acrylic anti-glare material and unfortunately I cannot recommend it.  The material is not quite anti-glare enough for direct reflections of IR light sources.  However, it does work well with indirect reflections.

The material I used for testing was this acrylic from Acrylite.

the test setup was Rear DI.  In the end I’m using my Rear Projection layer on the bottom.

thank you for the info. Shame that it is not anti glare enough…
We are testing some anti glare spray. I will tell you about it once we know more.

Hi,

so far, we tested the anti-glare spray that we received, and it is not what we need: it goes away only by touching it and it is still reflecting the leds.
So, we contiinue our search for anti-glare surface or material....

Have you tested PLEXIGLAS® 7D006 RP? This RP sheet has two-sided matte thin top surfaces: one for the projection, the other one is antiglare.
