Hi,

Some of my experiments are documented here:
http://www.elvis.ac.nz/Main/Multi-touchTable

I would recommend getting a short throw projector, they are cheap enough now compared with the price of the long throws now. I wasted countless hours trying to get the right position of the mirror onto the surface and mounting everything down with screws. There are much better things to do with your time.

There are various tools here to calculate the right angle for the mirror and projector. Search for projection calculators. I think Nolan has one on his PeauProduction website and there is a Processing and Flash one as well.

I hope that helps.

Cheers Craig

Honestly, most folks here have covered everything. I will consolidate a few of the answers into one post.

First and foremost I would take craigs advice on the short throw projector....Its a must and what he said about buying the right things to save time...THAT is HUGE.... Get the best of everything that you can afford as it will make for a much better table. You will literally spend hours on the most trivial things. If you buy the right stuff its a very simple process.

Secondly I saw Sid mention using software geometric correction and blending.....This too is huge..He linked you to one of our posts about Immersive display lite 2. I have come to love the software. Its not hard to setup and you can download a full demo of it… It makes mirrors and strange projector configs obsolete.

Have fun
