Cool thread, very inspiring. I want to keep this going.

109 - Instead of having to type a username and password to log in to something, a user could just place his or her hand down and have the computer analyze it and match it to an existing account - or create a new one. (It would have to be an extremely sensitive multitouch, though.)

110 - Drag and drop online shopping. (This would help prevent accidentally ordering the wrong item if the user can see a picture or model of what he or she is ordering.) Then just put the credit card down on the table (maybe in the shopping cart ‘area’wink and they’re done. smile

Hi Crystal,

Thanks for the post - please also update http://wiki.nuigroup.com/99+_ways_to_use_multitouch (our wiki section) and add your name and comments there..

Thanks!

Did so. smile Thanks for reminding me.

Can I build a working multitouch WITHOUT burning my eyes out, getting acrylic splinters, nailing myself to the table, electrocuting myself to death, or all of the above? ...We’ll see.

131. My flagship idea- Videoconfrencing is nice, but how do you communicate the documents. Use a MT conference table to fill in the gaps!
-Discuss one (or more) document at a time/have personal documents (ex. for notes reference, etc.)
-Allow for dynamic collaboration and comments
-You have the face on the TV in front, documents on the MT table (talking about putting technology in everything!)
-Has uses in education, business, and other situations where collaboration is necessary!
