Hi all,
I’d like to know if is it possible to add a wide angle lens to my standard projector?
If so, where could i buy this king of lens and how could i determine the right specifications?

If you have some piece of info, i would thank you!

Regards,

Chris

It is possible with some projectors to get a wide angle/short throw lens upgrade.

What projector are you sporting?  If you do a search in google for your projectors model number and short throw lens or wide angle lens you should be able to find out whats available.  If a straight google search is less than useful, try a google shopping search.

Thank you for your answer grimjack.
But it was not really my question (not so well formulated i admit ^^).
My question was more : could i hack my standard projector with a “wide” lens or anything else to make a wide image?

Well, again, giving us some idea about your projector will help the people here with the question.

Generally, a very tentative “yes” is the correct answer.  But there are a lot of variables to account for.  Is the lens solid state with the LCD/DLP technology?  Is it a micro projector?  full sized projector?
This matters because there are some hack solutions i can think of for a micro projector using the Kinect Zoom product as a wide angle adapter, but the lens diameter of a larger projector would rule that out.

On the forums, the more information you supply, the more help we can provide.
