Hi. I’m building interactive floor for my house.

I am using modified PS3 camera (original IR filter is removed and replaced with visual light filter). So now my camera works only on 850nm.
Ceiling height is about 3m. Projection size is about 265 x 150 cm.

So I already purchased 2 different illuminators:

But both are seems to give not enough light for my settings. If someone can give me an idea what illuminator (how many lights, and angle) I should buy to have enough light? I am also trying to limit the weight of the entire system, so don’t want to buy anything too big.

you need a wide flood and powerful isuggest you go to a cctv store and get from there they very light i use then on my floor system have attached a picture of one

Thanks. Will try to go to cctv shop and test it there.

Try tweaking the settings on your camera. I’ve found cranking up the exposure/gain (try moving them both to 1) can really help boost a weak illuminator.
