Hi

I’ve a problem with my two IR-Illuminators (look at the screenshot). There are two white points. If I touch at this points, the fingers don’t will recognize.
Are there any solutions?
Thank you very much?

You need to diffuse the light better, i suggest you angle the light away from the screen to the the corners, and use something like baking paper/mylar or something with a 1-stop or 2-stop diffusion and place it on the illuminators to reduce the hotspots

That is exactly right. Try pointing the illuminators at the corners of the walls rather than directly at the screen. In fact the best setups ive seen that use beamers usually have 4 illuminators with one pointed at each corner, not directly at the screen. You will avoid reflections and get a more even spread.

Another alternative, depending on the type of beamer, is to point them down at a diffusor/reflector.  A white piece of textured acrylic or rough paper works well.

Alternately, you can use lamp diffusors.  I’ve used these with bar type beamers.

Hey S-Touch,

I’m just about to decide which kind of LED distribution i should use for our rear DI table (http://nuigroup.com/forums/viewthread/13770/). What kind of IR-Illuminators are you using and what are the dimensions of your table?

Thanks
