Hello NUI Group, I am a new member, and I’ve been working on this project for skool which will basically be a normal multi touch surface, but a little bit different. I’m trying to start getting hardware to test out my interface ideas, and I want to order the phillips spc900, but everywhere I look to find a link for the 4.3mm lens the ebay auctions are gone, and I haven’t found it through google. If anyone knows where I can buy one I would really appreciate it.

By the way, if your going to post anything technical please dumb it down for me. I go to art skool.

Thanks for the reply.

Is this just the lens or does it include a filter. If not filter included could you tell me what you use for a filter and where you purchase that as well?

Thanks
John

No this does not include any sort of IR pass filter.. (which only allows light 650-850nm into the lense).. this lens lets ALL light spectrum into the camera.
Check out: http://nuigroup.com/wiki/irfilters/

I got mine from John Xu too.  Works on my phillips 1000 (next model up from the 900, but seems similar in most respects) The lense comes with a tiny lense cap which I made a hole in and then sandwiched old negative film in between the lense cap and the lense.  Really easy to use, but beware that the lense is metal and the camera is plastic, so you have to be careful when you screw the new lense in not to strip the thread on the camera. I did the first time and it was a real pain to get right after that.  It worked eventualy though.

Cheers
