Hi, I published this message in the community zone but it seems more adequate to post it here (as the software is programmed in C++, uses OpenCV and has a Qt GUI that uses openGL smile ).

We’ve just released a new software:  Ludique’s Kinect Bundle (LKB).

It is open source and cross platform (Binaries and one Qt project for Win, Linux and OSX) . It is in an early stage of development but it works with some few bugs.

We plan on including more features when we get some time/support.

You can check it out at : http://www.rubbletalk.com/software/ludique-kinect-bundle/

Some Features :

Use LCD as touch (notebook) :

Skeleton and Hands (with “push")

2-Cam calibration and Viewer

Included TUIO gateway (video shows the standalone version but works the same)

Comments, suggestions and others are welcomed.

Cheers!

Hi,

LKB send the messages through TUIO, there are a couple of options you can use to make your win pc touch:

If you want to use TUIO events as mouse :

TUIOMouse (first blob moves the mouse, second is click)

http://sourceforge.net/projects/reactivision/files/TUIO%201.0/TUIO-Clients%201.4/TUIO_Mouse-1.4.zip/download

If you want to use TUIO events as windows touch events (WM_TOUCH events):

BSQSimulator

http://code.google.com/p/bsqsimulator/

SGDriver

http://openmtproject.sourceforge.net/

Appart of making your pc multitouch, a very straight forward framework for making your own cross platform multitouch apps is MT4J : http://www.mt4j.org/ .
To use it :
- Install Eclipse
- Download MT4J
- Create a workspace in Eclipse
- Import in Eclipse both mt4j-core and mt4j-desktop inside the downloaded MT4J folder.
- Run an example app (mt4j-desktop->examples in Eclipse)

Tell us how it goes smile
Good luck!

Good evening, thank you already for your reply!

I posterait a picture of my setup tomorrow night!
in fact I have a desktop pc from wall mounted projector and a lightning mion office through the ceiling and then I gain his second screen! the kinect look at the office!
the goal is to have my desktop pc to the wall with laa controlling my mouse and the second screen of video projector controller by touch thanks to kinect and your software!
if you aver a tutorial to start well and then LKB parameterize sg drivers you would be a chef!
thank you in advance

Are there any tutorials for installing what is needed? I’ve downloaded what I thought are the necessary files from your list and I keep getting errors. I have OpenNI installed, but LBK gives me the can’t find OpenNI.dll. I saw that it says to copy that from the OpenNI directory, but all that is there is OpenNI2.dll. I tried installing Primesense KinectMod and I get the error “Please install OpenNI version 1.2.0.4 or higher!

I have the latest openNI from the site…

I’d love to try your software but I can’t even figure out how to get it installed on my windows 7 machine. :(

Hi, openni’s latest version is not api compatible with openni 1.x (and so not with LKB). The new openni, openni2, needs microsoft kinect sdk to work with kinect and that only works in windows so we are waiting for Linux and OSX support befor making the required modifications. To make it work you can install ZigFU for example (includes openni 1.5, NITE and the drivers for kinect, that are not the primesense drivers but avin2 drivers). Download the windows file from : http://zigfu.com/en/downloads/browserplugin/ (before that you have to uninstall microsoft kinect sdk and openni2 as well as anything related). After you have installed the zigfu package copy the openni.dll that you can find somewhere near C:/program files/openni/ or similar to the release folder (where you can find LKB.exe). Then just run LKB. Try all this with the latest LKB version first (it has a couple of improvements worth using that one).
Good luck!
