I was wondering if someone has a node that shows how to connect touchlib with VVVV. I haven’t really quite got down the whole TUIO thing yet. Thanks in advanced.

No not really. After playing with it I couldn’t figure out the TUIO address. I then did some searching and found a forum that said the OSC node wasn’t workable with TUIO. I hope they update it . I though about making my own finger detection inside of vvvv but I really like touchlib. You have any luck yourself?

TUIO is just a way of receiving/sending OSC messages. If there’s OSC sending/receiving, then there’s TUIO. You just need to figure out how to unpack the messages correctly.

If you mean the transmitting address its probably 127.0.0.1, coming over port 3333.  That is assuming the transmitter is on the same computer as the receiver.  If they are on different computers it would be the transmitting computers IP address, over port 3333.

Hope that helps,

Alex

I just wrote a plugin for vvvv that “decodes” the tuio messages from touchlib so the info about objects and cursors can be directly used in vvvv.
