Howdy all,

JMCCD—awesome job on the pdf… it explains it all so very clearly with the instructions provided by estengineer and Fairlane...!!

Fairlane, when you say you placed the cam at one end of the box on low res, how does touchlib handle this?

I am designing my box at the moment and I wanted to get the cam in the center of the box… but what was worrying me was the viewing angle… I still havent found any information for this…

Do you or anyone else know what the minimum distance between the cam and the surface would need to be, to capture a 76x43 cm projection?

Many thanks to anyone who can help..

Cheers

Hey Brennon, I found that the viewing angle was pretty ordinary, however, are you using mirrors in your setup? I have added some pictures to illustrate how I achieve a better viewing angle with around 65.5cm table height.

This is a rough design of my table so far…

Please see my Blog for more details: http://orionmultitouch.blogspot.com/2008/05/how-i-built-orion-mt.html

Hope this helps.

Howdy Fairlane,

Thank yo very much for posting with the images as it explains a lot. I wouldnt have though to use the camera near the first mirror.. I dont know why.. I was sort of fixated on the camera being at the bottom of the box and in the center and that was all I was going to get… but your explanation makes sense!

Cheers
