TRAINING « USING DIGITAL ARTS TECHNOLOGY IN CULTURE : A NEW DIMENSION FOR EXPERIENCING MUSIC AND INTANGIBLE ARTS »
From 5th to 8th and 10th September 9.00 – 12.00 am / 2.00 – 5.00 pm
at Museum Africa
121 Bree Street, Newtown, Johannesburg
The international team who programmed the exhibition (creative technologists, interaction designers, digital artists) will lead the workshops. Comprehensive introduction to the various techniques developed for the exhibition will be held, the last day of the training will be dedicated to the developing of their own installation by the trainees.
Topics; The use of tactile, multitouch, 3D and holographic technologies in museography,
Interaction design: sensitive design, audio guide smartphone (UX, UI, Web, Android), from control surfaces to sensor interfaces (MIDI, Arduino),
Realtime processing: Real time video effects (MaxMSP+Jitter), Real time visitor/body, tracking (Kinect), Real time audio signal processing,
Dedicated to students, artists, and people interested in digital arts. Basic knowledge in multimedia (MIDI, audio softwares…) and in network is requested.
