Hello,

I wrote several applications for Kinect (like mouse controlling and etc) and I want to write a Touch screen application which uses a projector and a kinect.

I am familiar with Kinect SDK, but I don`t know how to use CCV or TUIO in applications. I plan to write the application in C#.

Can you suggest me any tutorial or any sample code to walk through it? Thank you in advance.

Hi,

If you are willing to write the application in HTML5 and JavaScript, you can use Ubi Displays to provide the Kinect touch detection: https://code.google.com/p/ubidisplays/

You don’t need to know anything about CCV or TUIO to do this.  Just standard HTML5 touch events (i.e. $("#mybutton").bind("touchstart", function() { /* do something */} ) )

Here is a tutorial video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rWKN1-0j4sI and a support forum: http://highwire-dtc.com/ubidisplays/community/

Thank you so much for your reply. But I want to learn CCV and TUIO without relying a toolkit. Can you suggest me any tutorial for these two?

CCV is also a toolkit for detecting touch events and TUIO is a way of transmitting touch events between applications and computers. smile If you go to the CCV web page (http://ccv.nuigroup.com/) there is a whole section on tutorials which should help you get started.  I hope that helps!
