Hi everybody, I’m new here. I’m just starting the process of building a multitouch table, still looking for decent components. Still missing the projector though.

I’m into VJ’ing too, so a decent projector would be quite handy. There is obviously the problem of low budget (max 300€).

The projector with the best quality/price ratio I’ve found so far is a SVIC 720 H model that’s on special price because it has been on display. It’s looks like it’s really cheapo, but might do the trick. Here are the specs:

The good news is the price, it’s at £150 = 190€ = $290

My main concern is the size.. It’s not specified, but I bet it’s quite big. There is no Led projector in the sub 300€ range, right?
And at that price do you think I could get a better projector?

I’ve already found a long discussion about it, but sounded quite biased ( http://www.avforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=591746 )

BTW, congratulations for this cool community!

The contrast ratio seems quite low (800:1). I wouldn’t buy it if I didn’t have a chance to personally see how well it performs.

The Mitsubishi PK20 costs like $400 in the US, so you might be able to get it for the price tag you’re looking for in the UK (or wherever you are).

Good luck.
