At the end of April we visited a fair in Stockholm called Vinordic to help Carlsberg market and present a selection of
their products; this with the help of multitouch information desks created by us.

Our code base is Touchlib and we’ve helped to develop it as well.

The hardware looks stunning, the two boxes really fit the booths well.

That looks very swish, great presentation.  Can you say how you got TouchLib to recognize the bottles as bottle and not fingers?

Hello.  Thought so.  Are you using Reactivision?  If so how are you finding it?

No, it’s Touchlib with a custom blob finder/tracker. Never tried Reactivision, sorry.

Any chance of releasing it? (your modified touchlib)

Vlado: It’s not a modified Touchlib. It’s just Touchlib with a different blob tracker than the standard one.

So you are using Touchlib but not using the standard OSC and Flosc stuff?  It’d be interesting to know what you use, is it your own?

Larky: OSC (which sends blob data using the TUIO protocol) has nothing to do with how the tracking is done. It’s just a way of transmitting blob data.

OK, so it is your own bespoke blob tracker?

Larky: Yes, it is the blob tracker that enables us to recognise different objects on the table.

Very cool.  Fiducials is something worked on in the past, but I’ve never got blobs and fid’s to work together.  I thought TouchLib did it, but haven’t found any documentation other than a flash file with some fi’s in it.

from the pics you have a switch panel on the bottom corner of the box, do any of those shut the projector down properly?
