The pinch is really slow on my test setup (MTmini’sh sorta thing) , even tough i get excelent blobs and my rig is fast enough , the i do the gesture but it takes alot of time to actualy get somewhere.
Could you make it zoom-in faster with a smaller distance of fingers? Not all of us here have tables rasberry

Edit: I hope you understand what i’m trying to explain , when i try to zoom in with the pinch gesture or to fingers moving away from each other , even tough it starts zooming in and reacts quite nicely , the zoom-in action is slow as hell.

Hey Vlado, try this version for more sensitive pinch / spread functions and let me know what you think.

(NOTE: In this version, I’ve upped the speed for MTMini tables, and might be too sensitive for regular tables.)

Thanks jimihertz, there’s still alot to do with that plugin, it’s just finding the time to go through and test all the code. The idea would be to make the zoom less sensitive the further you zoom in, so that little movements at close range don’t trigger massive amounts of zoom. The same with the panning.

I feel slightly stupid, but I can not get the plug-in to run for the life of me.
I have a working version of TouchLib and installed World Wind 1.4. After downloading Fairlane’s (thanks!) lastest edition, I stored it in the World Wind/Plugins folder and installed and loaded it in World Wind. I’m now running an OSC server and though my touches get recognized outside of World Wind, absolutely nothing is happening inside World Wind.

I’m fairly stumped, so any input will be greatly appreciated!

The NASA WW Plugin is known to work with by touchlib rev3.93 and Nasa WW 1.4, however it works with touchlib beta 2.0 also. It sounds like you’re doing everything right. I load WW then run OSC.exe. I also have the plugin checkbox for automatically start when WW starts. I have noticed that the WW plugin doesn’t seem to recognize the first touch event when the plugin is first used. Can you run Smoke? Can you run Chris’ Penti game? That also just requires OSC.exe. The post/link can be found here

Try this and let me know how you go.

AHA!
I was also running a FLOSC server. Doh.
Thank you for your help, Fairlane; that link was exactly what I needed.

No problems, glad I could help. smile

I’m currently working on another updated version of the NASA WW Plugin, which should be available soon. I’ve corrected the date line and poles panning problem, and also the panning function at close zoom. Working on the rotate option and maybe implementing a tilt function tongue wink

Stay tuned, More to come.. grin

Hey Vlado, yeah still trying to fix some bugs in the rotate and trying to incorporate tilt. I haven’t had much time to sit down and really go through the code, but there’ll be another version to try very soon.

Hello icube, the source code can be found on the link at the beginning of this thread here

And yes you’re right, Laurence is using a different plugin.
