Hi all,

Just wanted to let you know that this framework is still being used. I supervised the two students working on it (Jurbo was one of them) and the last couple of weeks/months I worked with the framework. Did some tweaking and made some adjustments. I will upload some recordings of the application I’m currently building (crisis management app) early next year and will also share the latest version of the framework. The source needs some serous refactoring but if anyone thinks it could be useful I can share that as well.

Greetings,
Arnoud

the source would rock!

thank you for posting this status.
It is a very straightforward, “invisible” framework when building WPF applications. I like it very much.
I just would love to see more shared projects / examples… do you (arnoud) have some? ... things like Smoke or other “object instantiations” / painting would be great tutorials to build awesome things using this framework.

THANK YOU!

It is a very straightforward, “invisible” framework when building WPF applications.

Why do you call it “invisible”? You have to write so many code before it starts to work.

that was a “good” thing I posted.. not a criticism (in case thats what you thought)

Yes some code to me. I dont feel there is too much code to work.
... add a few dll referenes, xmlns mapping in XAML… like any other .NET thing
In my opinion anyway!! smile

I’d love to know about what you feel is a better/more comfotable WPF framework?
The array of choices is VERY confusing… this framework is apparently the only one with a *clear* WPF template/example project

thanks!

---------------------------------

EDIT

oh no… The projects do not want to open in C# “EXPRESS” ... :(

this is the first time I see this… Usually I can open anything “full” VS opens.
any idea?

better/more comfortable WPF framework for is a framework without any line code, just XAML.
Add reference, add namespace, use it. That’s what I mean “invisible”.
You don’t need any template with such invisible framework wink

weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeell

We agree. I felt that this fw actually had some of that going (if you stick with MTButton, MTBorder etc)

I *do* want to create my own namespace, control library, apps with “stuff built-in tags don’t handle” ... etc ... smile

I want a framework that allows me to do that… I *think* this one does, but I can’t get too much info from the touched moved, etc events…

Anyway! ... what would YOU recommend as a WPF franework?
THANKS!

I posted sort of a proof of concept framework a while ago that is smaller/simpler but also gives you less out of the box. All it really does is route touch events through the control hierarchy using attached events and uses the default WPF controls so you dont need “touch” controls. It still requires like 2 lines of code somewhere in the app to initialize it.

I havent posted an update to it in a long time because nobody seemed too interested, if theres interest I could post some updates.

all of these are excellent to have in our “arsenal” guys!

good work.
Will check both.

I watched one of the MTVista videos and can see how I’d use it. It’s quite a big/complete FW you have there!!! Vision-based tracking and all!? wow

Hi.

I can’t find the source code. It’s not an open source FW?

I have my own WPF MT Framework and wanted to join forces.

Thanks. Just got a little bit free time on my hands - will start looking into it soon.  Meanwhile I’m trying to integrate my MT framework with Windows 7 native MT interface.

does anyone know how to create custom cotrols that are made up of other MTControls? I need to make a control like MTKeyboard that has MTButtons within an MTCanvas?
