This wouldn’t really work for Fingerprints because it uses as much infrared light as possible and the idea is to get a good blob not a detailed blob. Someone might still answer your question though.

I know it is a big later, since you posted this, but a solution, might be to have another camera, and this camera have its own recognition software.
