Hi all!

I’m new to Multitouch topics and to FTIR and I’m more a hands-on-practice guy. I’ve seen there are a lot of methods and things to read about the construction of a Multitouch Surface (BTW, thanks to http://www.timroth.de/180/page5/page5.html, great illustration, gave me a much clear idea), so I believe it would be good to have some sort of Cookbook for building a basic Multitouch Surface.

From the forum I get that there are some main topics we should care about (I know, those are the titles of the Forums ):

- Acrylic & Compliant Surfaces
- Cameras (Filters/Lenses)
- Displays (Projection/TFT/LCD)
- Electronics & Sensors (Arduino/Wiring)
- Lighting & Illumination (Infrared LEDs)
- Wireless Devices (Bluetooth/RFID/wUSB)

It would be great if there is some place were we can find all the steps in one same place (of course, giving various options for each of them). If there is some page of this kind I would really appreciate it.

That might help you out but I did see another site that had a great PDF guide on how to build one pretty much from scratch. not remembering where it is right now but hopefully some other member who has a better memory can put that up here. I will be sure to document the building of my table as soon as I get started on it.. which should be soon!

I’m at work right now, but I took a look of the page and wow, very good guide to Multitouch Display Device construction.

I’ll take a further look into it later.
