IR Dead Area - Xbox Vision Cam

the Xbox Vision Cam is great for the money.  I don’t have the barrel distortion problems that the unibrain gave me and for the most part my table is up and running.

My one problem is that one corner of the cam seems to be much less sensitive to IR light than the other three.

Any blobs in that corner of the table just don’t have high enough contrast to stand out from the noise.

It’s not my LEDs, the sorta clear, or the mirror because if I rotate the cam the same problem occurs on the other side of the table.

I’ve placed a single LED light pointing down through the table (remote control) and moved it around.  Sure enough it is noticeably dimmer in the dead corner of the table.

I’m wondering if running two cams to fill in this area is a good idea or if someone else has experience with a problem like this.

Any Ideas?

Hey Paul running 2 cams will solve the problem, but from what i know touchlib only supports on camera… so you’ll probably have to use vvvv or processing. apart from that you could buy another camera i got mine from ebay for $13 including shipping and it was new (im in canada) so its not an expensive camera.
