Hi guys,

I borrowed from a friend of mine a nice CCD B/W camera that is extra sensative to IR light.
This camera -when night- sees amazingly good without IR bulbs, i tried to point a few IR LEDs
and the results are great. There is also a lense that goes with it to give it ultra wide viewing angles.

The only downside is .....
Touchlib does not recognize my nvidia card as a capture device. (it has an adapter that takes S-Video/COmposite In and Out)
and connects directly to the card betwen the dual vga ports.

Was anybody successful in making “a compoiste” camera work with touchlib?

Thanks.

P.S installed latest nvidia drivers and machin is WinXP.

Hi fadi,

My first prototype used a color ccd security cam (ir capable)
and connected thru the firewire dazzle capture device.(pic1)
had very good results as far as speed is concerned. Next
i tried connecting to my video capture/tv tuner card (hauppauge pvr-250)
with even better results.
Then my lenses came in that i ordered for my webcams and i moved on to
testing with those.
pic 2 shows the camera modified and floppy disk material taped over the lens
as a visable light filter.

Thanks guys,
but the main issue remains, Touchlib is not seeing my composite-in in my Nvidia card as a capture device.
So I got a “YES” on using composite-in as a source, but what remains is how (if possible) to make nvidia be seen as capture devie.
i will try GraphEdit to see if it can recognise it or not…
