Hey all,

I’ve been soldering my first array based on the calculator at http://led.linear1.org/led.wiz and when I finally got it completed I went to test it with my IR Cam (Phillips) and only the first LED closest to the power source is lighting up.

I’m using an 8 volt wall adapter that powers 19 LiteOn LEDs in parallel. I’ve completed the array using the 19x1 plan from the calculator and had it overlooked by the guy from the industrial electonics shop I bought my resistors from.

The specs for the LEDs are:

1.3V Forward Voltage
100mA Forward current

I’ve replaced the LED and resistor after the one that lights up to make sure it wasn’t causing any issues. Would there be any issues with the current provided by the wall adapter or something I could be doing wrong?

If needed, I’ll take a couple pics of what I currently have… little help please?

tw!st

I think I might be an idiot. I’ve found the issue and it looks like I’ve placed the resistors incorrectly and that the current is be degraded as it progresses instead of just protecting the LEDs.
