we ordered infrared blocking foil from a company called ifoha. Unfortunately the website is either in Dutch or German. This is the one we use for our FTIR setup.

Hi there!

I just landed on an overviewpage, so i looked around and:

Is infraroodfolie zilver-grijs, ... or infraroodfolie, 1201520 the right one?

Its silver on one side. did that work for you?

We used the one with product number:1201520. It does help to get better results in daylight. But unfortunately it darkens the image of the projector. The rosco-grey blocks a lot of ambient ir-light too by the way.

Hi Harmen,

thanks for the info!
I am going to use rosco grey or even rosco black (which seems to block a little more ir than the grey one).
I hope that will do.

Hi Chris,

Keep us posted on you results. What is your experience with the rosco black? What is the quality of the projection compared to the rosco grey?

As i still don’t have a projector, i could not test it yet.

But for all who are interested there is a great example on using rosco black/grey and drafting vellum as projection material (with pictures) on this blog:
