Rock & Roll.  I bet the Apple version will be more polished than the Winpoo crap I’ve seen.

Let the argument commence! wink

Seriously, I can’t wait to see what they come up with.  Let’s try to beat them to it all.

It should not be to hard for them to do. It will end up being a port of the iPhone UIkit/Cocoa Touch framework. They really emphasize on how the iPhone OS and OS X are not very different form each other.

One of the reasons I’m still wondering about Cocoa over C++…

Being a Mac guy all the way I’m very glad to hear this.

As a developer I have access to the early build of Snow Leopard but something I’d like to point out in the article you linked to is the fact that this multitouch is only related to the trackpad in the Air/MB Pro and possibly in other computers soon too.  So it’s not quite the full multitouch solution like the iPhone has ... yet.

I say yet because I have my suspicions.  These are entirely speculations but nonetheless ... I have been wondering if maybe the reason that Snow Leopard has “no new features” is because Apple is working on making the entire OS multitouch capable for a larger form factor device or even a multitouch iMac.  Thinking about it since Windows is working on their next multitouch OS ... HP has their new TouchSmart PC ... we all know Apple is very hardly ever behind the times.

Makes sense to me ... but I have nothing to base it on except for hopeful fantasizing wink
