I saw this recently on youtube… would be really cool to do this with MT smile

I wonder if its possible to do full 360 projection… because if so we can send that light OUT… i’m sure we could get cameras to read it IN.

Any ideas guys?

Oooh Yeah! I’m liking this! I’m picturing setting this little baby up in the middle of the room and having multiple users all around it! wink

The company I work for were the founders of a flexible organic display that allowed for 360 degree video applications.
They put the display technology on hold in 2003 due to the cost of production at the time.... pity. :-(

I dont know if its possible with a regular projector without modifying it a lot.... you probably need to change the lens to a custom Fish eye or even wider lens.... then on top of that the image you need to project would also have to be distorted so it comes out properly… But very cool indeed

I saw this thing on engadget ( I think ) about some company that was developing, and has since release or built a prototype of some 360 lenses and stuff so maybe you would just put this on your projector and aim it up. A widescreen projector would be mandatory.
