alright guys been tracking a lot of work in here and i first would like to say good job to everyone! 

i took apart my lcd a while back to see what was in it and what to keep (this was before anyone had successfully built a multitouch lcd) so basically i left it there for awhile.
i have forgotten the order of the lcd layers and the side that shoudl be used.  Right now i have 4 layers the..
1) the lcd with the chip attached on (the top layer)
2)diffuser #1 with a black boarder 1 smooth side 1 rough (which is on top?)
3) diffuser #2 again 1 smooth side 1 rough (which is on top?)
4) the hexagon acrylic (is the sides with the acrylic suppose to the facing down or up?)

also is diffuser 1 suppose to be on top or diffuser 2?

sorry for this its just that when i powered it i just got lines (vertically) not sure if its a busted lcd or i just got the wrong order

The lines are usually a sign of busted LCD, meaning those band connectors are loose or have been damaged. Its got nothing to do with the order.

As for order, its a good question, I have to go through my project pics and see what order they are in.... Will report back when I find those pics and figure the order out.
